GREG HURST
JOURNALISM
I spent 20 years as a journalist at The Times. I was Education Editor, reporting on universities, schools and apprenticeships, and Social Affairs Editor, writing about social care, charities and family policy. I was also Political Correspondent based at Westminster, covering Tony Blair’s premiership.
As a freelance journalist I worked for The Independent, the Daily Express and The Scotsman.
I learned my trade as a journalist in local weekly and evening newspapers: the Slough, Windsor & Eton Express, Slough Observer, Dorset Evening Echo, Bournemouth Echo, Southern Daily Echo and South Wales Argus.
